Timeline * SPRING APPLICANT OCTOBER

Starting Oct. 1, submit your 2017-18 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or 2017-18 California Dream Act application (if applicable). Be sure to include UC Merced on your FAFSA; the school code is 041271. fafsa.ed.gov or dream.csac.ca.gov

Visit campus, take a tour and experience a day at UC Merced. tours.ucmerced.edu

Submit your Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) application between May 1 and 31. admissions.ucmerced.edu/tag

Check for open majors before filling out your University of California admission application. admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/ how-to-apply/check-majors

Submit your admission application online starting July 1. The priority deadline is 11:59 p.m. PDT July 31. universityofcalifornia.edu/apply

Watch for an email confirming that your application was submitted successfully.

Log in to your application to complete your Transfer Academic Update by the priority deadline of Sept. 15. universityofcalifornia.edu/afterapply

Receive your preliminary financial aid award letter in October.

Submit your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) by the Nov. 1 priority deadline to commit to UC Merced. my.ucmerced.edu

Apply for housing. housing.ucmerced.edu

Make sure final transcripts and test scores are received in the Office of Admissions by Jan. 6.
